Global regions' ethical energy response to net zero

A webinar by the International Trade Club of Chicago.

The COP26 summit brought parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Across the oil & gas sector, this is leading to increased calls for tighter regulation to better focus on a sustainable future. Yet the challenge remains on how best to achieve this goal. In this presentation, the discussion shall focus on the following topic issues:

  • Why climate change has become an important issue in board rooms.

  • How and what energy companies and governments are doing to address this issue.

  • Some tools being deployed by companies and governments to manage this risk.

  • And any other interesting/geopolitical aspects of energy/trade/sustainability that would add value to the discussion. (i.e. USA/Sanctions on Russian energy, Rubble for gas pricing, JCPOA & Venezuela energy sanctions, and roles for new entrance in the energy markets.)

Presented by:
