ITCC Diversity Series - Black History Month: Opportunities in Trade and Overcoming Barriers

A webinar by the International Trade Club of Chicago in collaboration with the Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE) of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO)

The International Trade Club of Chicago, in collaboration with the Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE) of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), is hosting a series of events in 2021 promoting diversity in Chicago’s international business community. This series aims to encourage minorities, women, persons with disabilities and veterans to take advantage of opportunities that international trade can generate. We invite all people and organizations sharing an interest in international trade and diversity to join us during this important series.

Today's event begins the series to coincide with Black History Month. This event features speakers from both international trade and entrepreneurship backgrounds who will discuss the career and business opportunities available in international business, the challenges they are facing, and the possible solutions for a more inclusive international business community.

Individuals and organizations who wish to foster diversity in the field of international business are welcome to join us for this unique series. All of us are responsible for building a more equitable international trade community.

ITCC and OMEE invite you to share your experience and ideas during these events and hope to bring a positive impact on your business and organization. To suggest specific topics for future events, please contact Karl Buschmann at kbuschmann@itcc.org. We look forward to working with you on building a community reflecting the genuine diversity of global markets.
