CBP enforces the regulations of many Partner Government Agencies at the border as well as the rights of intellectual property owners. The mechanics of enforcement at entry will be reviewed, and we will delve further into the laws and regulations of the FDA and CPSC as well as the laws relating to intellectual property rights with the benefit of practitioners in those specific areas of law.

  • General admissibility concerns
  • Detention and Seizure
  • How FDA requlates imports
  • CPSC requirements for release
  • How to deal with FDA and CPSC
  • Differences between trademarks, copyrights and patents
  • CBP enforcement of trademarks and copyrights
  • ITC exclusion orders and patent enforcement
