The China General Chamber of Commerce Chicago (CGCC Chicago), in partnership with the World Business Chicago and China Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce PRC, is hosting the 2017 Annual Gala of CGCC Chicago - “New Era - Opportunities & Challenges in U.S. - China Economic Cooperation”. During the recent Summit in Palm Beach, Florida, President Donald Trump and President XI Jinping, agreed to launch a 100-day plan to strengthen the trade and investment ties and to boost cooperation between the two nations. The CGCC Chicago Gala is going to focus on promoting U.S. export to China and attracting Chinese investment in the Midwest.
The Gala provides excellent networking opportunities to connect with both Chinese and U.S. business leaders and dignitaries, to explore new opportunities to export to China, to increase trade cooperation and to attract additional Chinese companies to invest in the region. We hope the event will generate meaningful outcome to benefit both U.S. and Chinese business communities by creating jobs locally and stimulating economic growth of both nations.
CGCC Chicago is a non-profit member based organization in the U.S. representing Chinese companies in the nine Midwest states including Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. There are about 260 Chinese companies which have invested $20.3 billion in the nine states from 2000 to 2016, creating at least 45,000 local jobs.
