Attention Importers, Customs Brokers, Financial Mangers, In-House Lawyers and other interested persons. Stakes are higher now than ever for importers of goods which may be subject to outstanding antidumping and countervailing duty orders. The Enforce and Protect Act of 2015 provides for the private filing of allegations of evasion by competitors and other parties. Emily Simon, who was instrumental in drafting the implementing regulations for the Act will join us from the Office of Trade (Regulations and Rulings) at CBP Headquarters to discuss the workings of the procedures and regulations. David Forgue will discuss the implications for importers and those wishing to file evasion allegations.

· What are antidumping and countervailing duties?

· How do you know if you are an importer of producer of merchandise subject to an antidumping or countervailing duty order?

· What was the purpose of the Enforce and Protect Act?

· What is CBP’s investigation process if an allegation is filed?

· What are the steps of filing an acceptable allegation?

· What to do if you are the subject of an investigation?

·What steps can importers take to protect themselves from being the subject of such an investigation?
