U.S. Customs and Border Protection is modernizing its business processes via the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). ACE is a commercial trade processing system that facilitates legitimate trade while strengthening border security. Upon completion of core trade processing capabilities, ACE will become the Single Window, the primary system through which the international trade community will submit data and documentation required by all federal agencies for imports and exports, and through which the government will determine their admissibility. As part of this plan, the following mandatory dates have been set for use of ACE:

November 1, 2015: Beginning of a transition period for electronic entry and entry summary filings in ACE

• February 28, 2016: Filers will only be permitted to file in ACE, and no longer permitted to file in ACS, all electronic entries and entry summaries

• October 1, 2016: All Import and Export will be in ACE. This includes Drawback and Reconciliation.

Our speakers will be discussing the mandatory dates and resources available to help your company make the transition. They will also discuss the way CBP is working with Partner Government Agencies to involve them and help integrate them into ACE.Our speakers will also discuss the operation of the Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEE’s).

The International Trade Club of Chicago (ITCC) is a not-for-profit organization and all proceeds are used solely to cover the costs of ITCC activities. The ITCC appreciates the efforts of the volunteer speakers.
